Step#3. Enter a Site Name. This should be in lower caps with no spaces.

Step#4. Enter the "Domain Name" for your WordPress website. Assuming you have registered your domain with BestKnownHost. You'll need to add an A record to your DNS zone file in your main BestKnownHost account. An A record connects your domain name to an IP address and lets web browsers find your website. You can use an A record to point to your hosting account or to create a subdomain. Please refer to this KB. Alternatively. If you haven't purchased a domain name yet. Enter your server's IP address as the site's domain in order to preview the site in your browser using your server's IP address after installation. This is temporary and can be changed later after the installation.

Step#5. Next, click on the WordPress box to reveal the below drop-down fields. Now, enter a "Site Title", "Admin user name", "Password" and "Email address". You'll need the Admin User and Password to log into WordPress once it has been installed.

Notes: As a WordPress site administrator, you can do a lot to improve the security posture of your site. It starts by ensuring you use a strong password for yourself.

Characteristics of strong passwords

  • At least 8 characters the more characters, the better.
  • A mixture of both uppercase and lowercase letters.
  • A mixture of letters and numbers.
  • Inclusion of at least one specialcharacter, e.g., ! @ # ? ] Note: do not use < or > in your password, as both can cause problems in Web browsers.

The Site Name, password, and email address can be changed after the installation is completed. The admin user name can not be changed later.

Please leave the PHP version as is. This is already preset.

Step#6. Enter a password for the SSH/SFTP User. You'll be able to log in and view files directly on your server using your 'SSH/SFTP Username and Password' after the installation of WordPress is completed. Our recommendation is that you do not unless you have experience.

Note' Please ensure both your WordPress and SSH/SFTP passwords are strong. And ensure you make a note if these.
